I write songs which will probably never get past the bedroom door, although I did used to play gigs in the late 70s when I was less self conscious.

My HH name comes from the fact that when I was little, my best friend couldn't pronounce my name, Howard, properly, and apparently it came out sounding like "Blood".

My life long love is Marc Bolan, not least because, in 1968/9 he made it all right for me to not be ashamed of my hair. Before Tyrannosaurus Rex, you've
no idea how uncool curly hair was. So, no matter what the later years
brought, he could do no wrong for me. I love the solo Julian Cope almost as much. I live in Formby, Merseyside and work as a librarian.
